What is a Clothing Exchange?
A clothing exchange is essentially where you bring in your preloved wardrobe, and we buy them off you, and sell them direct to the public.
Unlike consignment, where you wait for your items to be sold, our buyers curate and hand pick the pieces that come through our doors, and are purchased from you on the spot.
The Commons becomes the middle man in retail, offering you a sustainably, good quality sourced alternative for style, wherein you can utilise your existing wardrobe as currency for a new one.
The Commons Clothing Exchange is also the main way we aquire our stock, so rest assured that everything is sourced locally as curated by our head buyers.
We look for designer goods, quality contemporary pieces and all types of vintage, from all eras.
When you bring in your prices to exchange or trade with us, you receive 30% Cash or 50% Trade Credit (not inclusive of gst).
Our buyers assess all your your clothing individually. We take into consideration style, materials, production, and condition to give you the best resale price.
The Clothing Exchange is available Monday to Saturday, anytime. just make sure you allow for at least 30 minutes. In some cases, we require up to 24hours to assess your pieces, to ensure authenticity.
Don’t have that time? No worries, we have fast track service that allows you to drop your items off with us, and pick them up at a later date .
