Alexander Wang Spring 2017 Midi Stretch Lace Up
From Alexander Wangs’ 2017 Spring Runway
This spring collection was a symbiosis of deconstructed wardrobe basics, merging male and female signifiers. Wang was after a similar effect last season, but the way he went about it then was less subtle. Backstage he called this show, “50 Shades of Grey meets Lords of Dogtown.” Sex is still essential to the message, but he went about delivering it in a way that felt truer to brand Wang, tapping into his California roots.
This dress is look 31/64 of this runway.
With a tight and elasticated fit, the hug of this dress is countered by its feminine length, which drops mid calf. The back strap detailing of this dress is also a main feather, with drawstring tie encircling the back.
Round high neckline.
Contrast stitching tailors and follows the bodies natural curves.
