From Raf Simons’s 2006 Spring collection, comes this laser cut tank.
The classical grandeur of the setting suited the theme of Simons' collection—Icarus, in all his heroic isolation—and many of the clothes had a feel from this year, of airiness, movement, and flight. Shirts and T-shirts, for example, were literally opened up via latticework. Tops were radically and fluidly oversized.
The fabric used and manipulated for this piece is its most interesting and noticeable feature. Ribbed and sliced in a way as if to explore the concept of air passing through, this top is a gunmetal colour, slate and black colour palette.
Fits like a size L.
